Swinging Over the Deep: A Dream I’ll Never Forget

For years, I’ve had a recurring dream: I’m trying to leap from a diving board, or attempting some kind of backflip in a crowded pool — and it never works. I’m tangled, stuck, or afraid. It’s always a dream about effort… and falling short.

But this time, something different happened.

In this dream, I climbed the ladder to a high dive — higher than anything I’d ever seen in a dream before. When I got to the top, there was a rope blocking the board. Instead of turning around or climbing back down, I grabbed the rope. And suddenly, I wasn’t diving… I was flying.

I swung from one corner of the pool to the other, soaring above the water. Instead of fear, I felt free — weightless, bold, alive. And as I swung, I started singing:

“May His favor be upon you, and a thousand generations…”

And then something beautiful happened.

One by one, the people in the pool began to sing with me.
Their voices rose, joined mine, and soon the entire pool — every single person — was singing this heavenly chorus. As I flew over the water, we were united in worship.
It felt like a picture of heaven.
It felt like a picture of obedience.
It felt like a picture of Kingdom Work.

What God Showed Me

As soon as I woke up, I knew what the dream meant:

I don’t have to force my way forward anymore.
What once felt scary or impossible is now something God will carry me through.
Where I used to feel stuck or tangled, I am now being lifted.
What used to be just “me trying” is becoming “God moving.”

The rope symbolized the new way — God’s way.
The soaring symbolized freedom.
The collective singing symbolized what happens when obedience inspires others.

What I felt so deeply was this:

When we say “yes” to God, our obedience becomes worship — and it invites others into worship, too.

What This Means for My Walk Right Now

This dream came in a season when God has been asking me to step deeper into Kingdom Work — even when I can’t see the full plan. And He reminded me:

You don’t have to jump into the deep end alone.
I will lift you.
I will steady you.
I will guide you.
And My favor will go with you.

Just like the people in the dream who began to sing with me, I know Kingdom Work is going to do that — invite people into hope, worship, and God’s presence.

This dream felt like God whispering:

“Keep going. Trust Me. You’re soaring now.”
